Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DevRise ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you use our website, our mobile applications, and any related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who we are

DevRise is the data controller responsible for your personal information.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • our website at https://devrise.solutions;
  • our mobile applications, available on Google Play and other app stores:
    • Arohan
    • HireSetu
    • AnyExam.online
    and
  • any communication you have with us, for example by email or through our contact form.

Each app collects only the information it needs for its features, so not every type of information described below is collected by every app. If we build an app for a client and publish it under the client's name, that client's privacy policy applies to the app, not this one.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number and company, when you fill in a form or contact us.
  • Account information, such as your username, email address and password, if you create an account in our app.
  • Content you submit, such as messages, feedback, photos or files you upload through the Services.
  • Support communications when you ask us for help.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device information, such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, language and time zone.
  • Usage information, such as features used, screens viewed, time spent and interactions within the app or website.
  • Diagnostic data, such as crash logs and performance data, used to find and fix problems.
  • Log data, such as IP address, browser type and the dates and times of your visits.

3.3 Information from third parties

If you choose to sign in with a third-party service (for example, Google Sign-In), we receive basic profile information from that service, such as your name, email address and profile picture, according to your settings with that service.

4. App permissions

Our app may ask for permission to access certain features of your device. We only request a permission when it is needed for a feature you use, and you can withdraw it at any time in your device settings.

5. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate and maintain the Services;
  • create and manage your account;
  • respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
  • send service-related messages, such as security alerts and updates;
  • send marketing communications, only where you have agreed to receive them;
  • understand how the Services are used and improve them;
  • detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse, security and technical issues; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

We process personal data in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them. We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, or for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as when you voluntarily provide information for a specific purpose.

Where other data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we process personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Services you have requested;
  • Consent: for example, for marketing or optional permissions, which you can withdraw at any time;
  • Legitimate interests: to improve and secure our Services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights; and
  • Legal obligation: where we must process data to comply with the law.

7. Sharing & disclosure

We share personal information only in the following cases:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, email and crash-reporting providers, under contracts that require them to protect it;
  • Legal requirements, when required by law, regulation, legal process or a government request;
  • Protection of rights, to protect the rights, property or safety of DevRise, our users or others;
  • Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you; and
  • With your consent, in any other case.

8. Third-party services

The Services may use the following third-party services, which may collect information used to identify you. Please review their privacy policies:

Our website may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. In general:

  • account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within [30] days after you delete your account;
  • contact form enquiries are kept for up to [24 months]; and
  • some data may be kept longer where the law requires it, for example for tax, accounting or dispute resolution.

10. Account & data deletion

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time, in either of these ways:

  1. In the app: open Arohan, HireSetu or AnyExam.online, go to [Settings → Account → Delete account] and confirm.
  2. By email: send a request from the email address linked to your account to hello@devrise.solutions with the subject "Delete my account" and the name of the app (Arohan, HireSetu or AnyExam.online). You do not need the app installed to do this.

We will confirm your request and delete your account and associated personal data within [30] days. We may keep limited information where required by law (for example, transaction records) or to prevent fraud, and anonymised data that can no longer identify you. You can also ask us to delete some of your data without deleting your account by contacting us.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and secure cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
  • have your grievances addressed by our Grievance Officer (see Contact us);
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act; and
  • complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local data protection authority if you live outside India.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

13. Children's privacy

Some of our apps, such as AnyExam.online, may be used by students. Under the DPDP Act, anyone under 18 is treated as a child. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the verifiable consent of your parent or lawful guardian, and we process a child's personal data only with that consent. We do not knowingly track, behaviourally monitor or show targeted advertising to children.

The Services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information without the required consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your information.

15. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we will notify you through the Services or by email.

17. Contact us & Grievance Officer

If you have questions, requests or complaints about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer, appointed under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act. We will acknowledge your request and work to resolve it within the time required by law, and in any case within one month.
